      8) 8) 8) ... And to think all this musicality and BVD info came about because Rosemary challenged me to rewrite Bob Hope's theme song "Thanks for the Memories" on an earlier post...and two shortened versions by other quilters were added too! BTW, I'm working on a rewrite, Rosemary, but I'm doing my homework first...and am waiting until Clara and her crew are finished with their part of this fab exchange...so I can r-e-a-l-l-y say, "THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES" from the bottom of my heart!

Last week I watched a Fons and Porter show that featured Edyta Sitar's friendship triangle exchange. I hope some of you got to watch it. The best part was when they showed some gorgeous quilts made from the triangle exchange between the Landauer Publishing staff and the Fons and Porter staff.

Bummer, I missed that. I might have to hunt that episode down and hopefully they have it online. It will have to wait. I have this big event coming... something about a ton of HSTs that are taking over Debbie's house and there are some hungry quilters waiting for them to return. So, we will wait a little on everything else. Clara

              copied the following from http://www.fonsandporter.com:

              1713 - Friendship Quilts

Marianne Fons and Mary Fons demonstrate how to make perfect half-square triangles. They show several examples of quilts made with triangle units that were created in a friendship exchange.

Please note that this show is currently available only through your public television station and is not yet available for online viewing.

I don't get that program on my TV but I noticed on their web site that you can subscribe for a year for $19.95.
Not something I can do right now but maybe later.

I just saw Fons & Porter on our PBS station in Houston this past Saturday - they said it's series 1600 - is that the same series? The show I saw was a totally different topic.

I watch F & P but the show here wasn't on triangles last week. I checked their website, it is 1501, but is only available on TV and if they get it on video you have to pay.

I'm looking forward to my triangles but in no hurry because I have two graduation quilts to make by the end of May. I'm getting close to finishing one top but haven't started the other. I also do my own quilting and next week I leave for FL for a week. I need to stop traveling.

You're right quiltzgirl. As it happens I'm going to FL to visit my quilt buddy who moved there two years ago. She said she knows where all the good places are. As long as I have my plastic with me I'm happy and of course I add on frequent flyer miles while using it.
