Love your lyrics Rosemary. Someone should record it for us.

Maybe if we had another Sisterhood of Traveling Triangles we could get everything correct, like how many, labels, postage, no smoking, numbers in the right place, sew on the lines, cut correctly, no open triangles, correct number of baggies to name a few. I'm sure we could do better the second time around if anyone is brave enough to try it.

A million thanks to everyone helping especially our Queen of the Bags who is sliding on all the plastic in her house. All my love and appreciation is going your way. I'm so looking forward to my triangle returns. I have to finish two quilts for high school graduation first.

Rosemary...you talent is endless! How in the world do you come up with all these ideas? I think we all need to chip in and pay for Rosemary to come to Houston on sorting day and entertain us. Or if you can't do that, Rosemay, go ahead and record it so we can play it on over & over on sort day!

Again...you are priceless   . Thank you for keeping the fun alive!

Great job, Rosemary! Send the lyrics to Bob at Superior Thread. Maybe his group could put it to music like they did with their song, Where Did I Hide My Stash.

I think the title of Sorting Queen is ever so much better for Debbie than Queen of the Bags, or....heaven forbid....Bag Lady!!

My vote would be for Abba, Sorting Queen (sorry Dancing Queen) especially for Clara.
We could always try rewriting the lyrics while we wait.

Ok here goes first entry for the lyrics challange.

                          Sorting Queen.....(apologies to ABBA)

You can count, you can sort , having the time of your life.
Ooo...see that girl, watch that seam, stitchin', the Sorting Queen

Friday night and the quilts are low
Looking for some half squares to sew,
Where the colours are clashing, triangles are my thing
You can sew up a king.
                          Feathered star or shoo-fly,
Stitches small and the wadding's high,
With a bit of charm fabric, a layer cake or 2
You want some squares to patch,
Seam line's are up to scratch.

You are the Sorting Queen counting thousands, past seventeen,
Sorting Queen, feel the thrum from the sewing machine oh yeah
You can sew, you can sort , having the time of you life
Ooo.. see that girl, watch that seam, stitchin' the Sorting Queen.

You're the Counter, you sort them out
Twenty-eights in piles, that's the count,
Packing up the baggies, odd ones every where,
                          Boxes are ready to pack,
                          Throw Postie another sack.

You are the Sorting Queen, counting thousands, past seventeen,
Sorting Queen, feel the thrum from the sewing machine oh yeah
You can sew, you can sort , having the time of you life
Ooo.. see that girl, watch that seam, stitchin' the Sorting Queen.

                          Sew with the Sorting Queen

So - any other budding lyricist's who can improve on that? (pleeeeease! )

                          Rosemary
Why thanks for that! What a nice surprise!!! Now I've got the song stuck in my head. Clara ops:
