    Debbie,

I finally finished my 532 HST and got them neatly into a 1 gallon bag. I marked the outside of the priority mailing envelope with my screen name and the amount of HST.
The return envelope has my address as the sender and the stamps on on it. I just got home from the post office and sent you an email on your profile. I think I got it all right! Now I can relax and just wait for the fun to begin when we get them back!!!!

This my first exchange!! Thanks for all you have done.

Hi Debbie, I saw Deanna's post and thought I could just say "ditto" to that. I was just across the line and mailed a parcel off to you. 532 in the envelope, outside is marked with name and number, return envelope marked right with stamps. I also just sent an email to your profile.

Also, ditto on the thanks for working on this.
      Have a great day

        Debbie,
I will be mailing my triangles tomorrow. I have 112. Now I wish I had committed to sending more. I have received both of Edyta's books and am excited to get started. Beachgal

Debbie what do you think? I checked it out and the only thing recorded for quilts or fabric that comes anywhere close is just talking about the longest quilt.

                  Update on Guinness.....
If we let them know today that we are attempting a record. The process takes 4 to 6 weeks to approve. If we submit a fast-track (what they call it) approval it can take up to 3-4 business days. Then the fee is 400 pounds (they are located in London). Then they will give us guidelines to show proof. There is another fee after wards to fast-track the approval of the proof another 300 pounds.

I would love to have that spark in both my younger boys eyes that their Mommy has a Guinness record but, it just doesn't appear we have the time nor the funds to pull this off.

                  Clara

P.S. Can any of our quilters from England or elsewhere let me know what 700 pounds is in US funds. Just curious.

Sounds like Maureen's 'costly' bit of information nips that idea in the bud. It sure would have been interesting if we could have pulled it off. We've received some generous monetary donations to help with our upcoming expenses, but that's not even in the ball park.

THIS BEARS REPEATING EVERY COUPLE OF DAYS FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVEN'T MAILED YOUR PACKAGES YET

HERE'S A HELPFUL CHECKLIST TO USE BEFORE PACKAGING AND MAILING YOUR HSTs (which DO need to be received by FRIDAY, APRIL 1st , so hopefully EVERYONE, especially members from outside the U.S. are mailing their packages THIS WEEK!)

____ HST's folded & NOT pressed open and paper has NOT been removed.

____ HST's have NOT been put into individual baggies, but have been neatly stacked & placed in a larger Ziplock bag (or smaller if
not sending that many)...see photo below. Remember we have to remove HSTs from smaller bags before sort day, so you
do not need to separate them into colors or counts. Only the TOTAL count is what matters!

_____ If including HSTs for Queensland, Hanne or Christchurch, those have been put into individual bags & marked appropriately.

____ Screen Name, Real Name and HST count has been clearly marked on the Ziplock bag.

____ If International, contact Clara Lawrence (SN: ClaraLawrence) to get information on how to charge your return postage on PayPal.
Review the 2nd Post on the 1st Page of this Forum to determine how many & what size boxes are required depending on
how many HST's you will be having returned to you.

____ If International, include your address label or labels, depending on how many return boxes you paid for, along with
a copy of your PayPal receipt. Review the 2nd Post on the 1st Page of this Forum to determine how
many boxes are required depending on how many HST's you will be having returned to you. Do NOT include a
return envelope because it CANNOT be used. We aleady have all the International Flat Rate Boxes required to return them.

____ For Domestic packages: Return envelope has stamps, your OWN address as both 'sender' and 'recipient'. Remember not to use
P.O. Box addess as 'sender' since it will be closed after the Exchange. If your package is returned there for insufficient postage, it
may wind up in an unknown  , unhappy home forever. Also, if you are the 'sender', then it will get returned to YOU for
                          additional postage.

____ Mailing envelope is sturdy and is clearly marked with your ScreenName & HST count and it has been taped, taped & triple
taped to make sure it won't open on it's way to Katy.

____ Once package is mailed, send Debbie (SN: NaneeWolf) an email to her PROFILE PAGE (not as a PRIVATE MESSAGE
or Forum post) to let her know package is on the way. That way she can let you know by return email when your package arrives.

HURRY, HURRY, HURRY TO GET YOUR PACKAGES IN THE MAIL, ESPECIALLY INTERNATIONAL...APRIL 1ST DEADLINE IS FAST APPROACHING!

AIR MAIL FROM AUSTRALIA or ENGLAND, MAYBE???...

Since time is running short on getting the HST's here by April 1st, please seriously consider sending your post air mail especially if you are in England or Australia. One Australian member wanted to make sure that we received it by April 1st, so her package was sent air mail on March 7 and I received it today...8 days later.

It may cost a little more, but it looks like that's a pretty good approach to take since it's been taking up to three to four weeks for some packages to arrive and we don't have the luxury of that much time anymore
                            .

Thanks for whatever you can do to make it happen...in time!

I mailed out HST package today. Sent you an email.

Call out for helpers. Ok, maybe a little pleading. No, I'm down right begging. Begging is a little strong. Let's get back to it. We are sorting approximately 250,000 HSTs!!! We could use all the help we can get this grand sorting day! This will be going on in the Houston area, early April. If we can get it all done in one day that would be AWESOME!!!

Send me an email through my profile and I will put you on the mailing list. I'm about to send out the first announcement for the sort very soon. I will need your email (so I can keep you updated) and phone number (just in case), name and of course screen name.

If you want to bring a favorite mix of some upbeat music. That would be great.

Here is who I have so far, so you don't have to reply again. bhalbard, DawnE, debkendall, NaneeWolf (my partner in crime), me, LenaR, mmyersrn, MarietNieskens, msquiltlady, MightyD, romira, Sarah3, and tnwallace. If you aren't on the list and you've already sent me an email. Do me a big favor and send me another email. I've never gotten this much email and I probably skipped over it and didn't mean to.

Thanks a ton. Margo, you can still join us!!! Hint, Hint, Wink, Wink. Clara
