    Thank you again, Margo! Okay, my daughter taught me that if you FEED a man a fish, he has a meal. If you TEACH a man to fish, he can feed himself for life. So, I need to learn this trick. First tell me; is this a cut and past thing? I learned it years ago, but without using it periodically, I forget. If that is the case, I will have DH refresh my memory.

      That's a favorite quote of mine, Dawn!!

      No, it's not just cut and paste, but after you've done a couple it's easy to figure out how. You have to save photos on your hard drive in order to upload them onto the forum. For instance, to retrieve Carol's photo, I just went to Carol's profile, scrolled down to "My Latest Blogs" found her Member Blog about her sister's quilt and opened it.
      I put the cursor on the photo of her sister's quilt and RIGHT CLICKED; Selected "Save Image As" and put it in a file on my hard drive where I knew I could find it! I usually put all my TQS photos in a file I call "2011 TQS" in "My Pictures". (Sorry, I can't help you with the MAC photo terms.)

      To insert a photo in a forum comment, just fill in your text as usual. After you have filled in your text box, scroll down a little farther and click on “Upload Attachment”. Click “Choose File” and navigate through your computer to the photo you want to post. Click on your chosen photo to select it, and then click “OPEN”, and then click “add the file”. After the file has been uploaded, park your cursor in the text box where you want the picture to show up and click “place in-line”. The photo title will appear where your cursor was. Click “Submit” and you will be taken back to the forum page and your post should be there. (Your photos will load quicker if you can resize them to a smaller file.)

              WOW! I'd never thought about that, but you do that with any size HST. Learn something everyday.

                    Dawn,

                    Are you planning on doing these tiny stars for your entire HST quilt or were you just trying it out? Since I still struggle with accurate 1/4" seams on large blocks, I can't even imagine working with such itsy-bitsy pieces that look so perfect. You must have very good eyesite and a very good light on your machine...plus a lot of patience.

                    Debbie
                    Once you do a few minatures, your accuracy improves immensely. Doing minatures teaches you the accuracy of 1/4" seam. Also, when doing minatures, use the Aurufil thread, it is 50wt. The thinner the thread, the more accurate your minatures are.

                      If you aren't sure of your 1/4" sewing or your accuracy in cutting or pressing, you might want to check out my "TEST"!

                      It only takes a few minutes and might save you some aggravation! http://good-times.webshots.com/album/569415726bHNKHF

                        Dawn;

                        I have one question, how did you get some of my HST’s when I haven’t mailed them in yet? Just joking! I love what you have done with them! Good idea!

                          Dear Sisters & Brothers (even though I haven’t seen or heard from any of them);

                          Did someone say something about we now need to send a chair to catch our HST’s?? What kind of chair do we need to send and what do we need to send it in? :lol: Just joking. . keep on smiling, this is fun! I can’t wait for you to get some of my HST’s and for me to get some of yours; however many I may get or whatever shape they are in! Mine happen to be VERY nice, one might even say stupendous. . . if I may say so myself, so if I get some of my own back that’s okay with me!! Okay, I will admit my husband says I exaggerate a bit, moderately, okay maybe more than moderately! Anyway, I am enjoying myself and I hope ya’ll are too! Sew a w a y . . .

                            I do not even know where to find the words to tell you all how I feel just realizing a few hours ago what you are up to! Sweet Bjoern thought someone died as I bursed into the "ugly-cry" reading an e-mail from Debbie telling me you are making HSTs on my behalf! Getting my face back where it is supposed to be I am still looking like I was dropped down from the moon! I am amazed, schocked, happy and soooooooo honored, more than I can tell using simple words! TQS-girls is the best group of girls ever! I hope I can give you all big hugs in Houston in Nov...if not I am sending viritual hugs to all of you...hoping you understand how greatful I am and how blessed I feel. I will make the real "Friendship quilt" thanks to all of you!!!!!!
