SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TRIANGLES EXCHANGE

More on adding name, etc., to TRIANGULATIONS. I simply took a blank sheet of paper, laid it over the printed sheet of 2" triangles and wrote my name, state and country on each of the dozen triangles. The blank with the inked info went onto the bed of the copy machine and the printed TRIANGULATIONS returned to the paper handler of the printer
upside down. Lo tech, quick and easy. Extra hint, place the info as close to the middle as possible to allow for some paper slippage in the printer. This exchange is AMAZING!

I have all of my supplies ready. Thank you Margo for the information on adding your signature. If I followed the directions right my new signature and my profile photo should show up in this posting. I haven't chosen a pattern/project for the HST yet - maybe something wearable. I do know I want to save all of the triangle papers to put into a paper project to document this exchange. Also Debbie and Clara, have you considered using a Library meeting room to handle the exchange? No one has to clean their house, they have large rooms, lots of tables and you can use them for free. We do this with our small quilting groups all of the time. Could you have someone take some pictures at the exchange and post them for us to see? Thank you everyone so much for starting this posting, taking charge, sharing ideas, researching the logistics, answering our concerns and saying yes to sharing some of yourselves and fabric with the quilting world.

Thanks for the suggestion about the library...it's something to consider if it get to be too much for my house!

We're happy to have you in the Exchange. We are requesting that the HST's be sent in increments of 28, i.e., 28, 56, 112, etc.

Also, there is a chance if you send us 800 that you might get some of your own returned to you since most people are sending in the 200-400 range and some fewer. You're more than welcome to send them in, but we can't guarantee that you won't get some back.

                  Karen,
Love the quilt behind your photo! For those who don't know it was my Mystery Class this year at the Badlands Quilters Retreat.

Hi Clara - did the lady from S. Korea sign up? I've been watching for her to sign up. This is getting better every day. So many thanks to you ladies who volunteered to manage this! What a job!
I have to admit, I have a spot held out for her. Looks like she is on a base, so getting back to us might be a challenge. We can afford a little time for that.

My best recommendation is to check out the current video running on the Quilt Show. Edyta is an excellent teacher and you can watch that section over and over again until you have it down. She also shows some excellent samples. Remember there are links on the side of the video to get you where you want in case you just want to see one part. When you've got it. Read the guidelines for this triangle exchange on page one of this forum and your good. If you still need some help, just ask.

It is such a great system that my Mom will be doing her very first quilt using these triangle papers. (the link for those is also on the video page)
                      watch/
                      Happy sewing.

not too worried about getting any back. i think this is about the most fun The Quilt Show could do. it includes everyone.

                                I'll be sending 784.
