Please sign me up. My name is Rochelle and I live on the beautiful Oregon coast in Coquille. I'm anxious to see where all the triangles come from. I plan to send 112.

I am also a retired Postmaster and suggest the use of a Priority mail flat rate envelope (like Ami Simms project). The delivery time on that is 2 -3 days and the cardboard will give it substance. I would love to help out...but Houston is quite the commute! if you need geographic help I can easily bop around the New England states. Noreen Couture
      Great idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Will they accept a folded envelope back? Another words if the quilter sent in their HST in a Priority Envelope, but also had one folded inside already paid for the return.

Absolutely. You can easily put the return postage on the return envelope, fold it and put it in with the triangles. In fact the PO makes a Priority mail stamp which makes it all the more convenient. Another way to do it is to put the initial mailing in the Tyvek Priority envelope that you can get at the PO. Then all is taken care of: The return envelope in tact will provide the stability in mailing and there is no worry about the folding of the return envelope.

I can very much appreciate that return label, but I'm going to ask you to go ahead and put it on an envelope with everything written so all we have to do is bag up your HST, put it in your envelope and get that back to you. It also helps reduce error like writing wrong addresses or wrong people with the wrong number of HST and so forth for us.

I wonder if we should start a bet in guessing the total HST in the end? It's going to be massive!

In response to Margo's reply to 'ritzy'...

You're right on target, Margo. You can mix and match as you please as long as the value/quality are there and as long as one side is a light and the other is a medium/dark. A batik can be with another batik or a print or a solid or a tone-on-tone, etc., etc. etc. Anything you feel comfortable with is cool! 8) 8)

I'm using Superior's MasterPiece thread. Great for piecing and very little lint and is the same (50) weight as the Aurifil.

Getting so excited with the number of people involved.......

I have finished almost 200, and feel that I would like to send at least as many units as there are participants. Would that make sense that I would then receive the number of unique squares equal to the number of participants?

Love the idea of identifying origin point on the squares (a little more time, but what fun!)

Some have requested that we (the sorters) add info like names and places on the papers of the HST. With the magnitude in numbers of all these HST we would be doing this one task for many months. If each of you is interested in adding this info to the PAPER, please feel free, but it is only if you wish.

I will smile in knowing that quilters all over the world pieced these together with the same joy that I did. That is very comforting.

We've had several inquiries about people participating in the exchange if they are not members. This is from a member of the TQS staff:

We would love to have more folks join us, but they do need to be members. Tell them that they can join as a Basic (free) member. That way they can enjoy and learn about all of the fun other things we offer.
So what's better than free...encourage your friends and family members to join as a Basic member and then I'm sure they'll be as hooked as the rest of us are on the program.

Hopefully they will want to join to see the Edyta Sitar (Episode 802) video! That alone is worth the price of admission!
