Mimuscraft from Finland posted this recently regarding International mail. It's a good possibility that all countries have a similar system, so please check with your postmasters. If you find out anything that will be helpful to your fellow countryment, please be sure to post it. When you post something, indicate what country it's for then underline, bold and color your post headline so it will get attention.
Thanks Mimuscraft for this very helpful information.

I just got e-mail back from our post. It is possible to pay return postage on international mail. So here in Finland I can buy something called 'international reply coupon' (don't know what it is excatly in English). I understood I should by enough of those coupons and send them with HST's and reply envelope. So you can change those coupons to stamps in USA and send back my mix of HST's. I think this is not cheapest way, I will have to pay 1,65 euros for one coupon to get 0,75 euros worth of stamps. And it is more hassle to you sisters organizing this. So if any one knows better way to pay return postage, please tell.
By the way, I found perfect pattern for this and will be sending 168 triangles.
Edit: Every time I have ordered fabrics from USA (you have so delicious fabrics there..not to mention the price), the postage has been 12-14 dollars. I think the envelope costs that and the shop I have used can stuff there up 8-9 yards of fabric.

Carol, It's wonderful that you are making so many triangles, however, I do want you to understand that there's a very good possibility that you'll be receiving some of your own triangles in the return since it doesn't sound like most participants will be making between 100-300 (estimate only). I don't want to discourage you from sending in that many, but I do want you to be aware.
I have to admit, it is addictive once you start sewing them and it's hard to stop till you run out of papers. If you decide you want to send in less, maybe you could get some of your local quilters together to start another exchange.
Regarding pressing, etc., please check out my post from yesterday on Page 14. It explains step-by-step what to do when sewing and pressing, not removing papers. More and similar information is also posted in the Guidelines in the very first SISTERHOOD forum post including mailing information. I'm attempting to use that 1st Forum post to include updates since that's the only one that isn't getting lost among the other 16 pages (so far)...so please refer back to that often.

I have already joined but I did not mention how many triangle I was going to make. I am in for 700. I started last night making some triangles and it goes really fast. I already have 308 made and it only took me a few hours. This is so relaxing and fun!!!!
I do have a question on pressing. I tried to find my answer in the blog but I could not.
Are we to press them open into a HST square patch with papers on or are we to just leave them as a sewn triangle with the papers on?

Reminder to everyone confused about any set of creating these HST or ideas about what to do with them. Please review the latest show on the Quilt Show with Edyta Sitar. She will walk you through step by step and show you lots of wonderful ideas. Her website for ordering the papers and/or her book is on the same page as the show and on our guidelines on page one of this forum. Get inspired and review it as many times as you want. Don't forget they have links on the right side of the video image that will allow you to jump to the section of the video that interests you the most.
Have fun with this. That's what it is all about.

Hoorah for coming up with this super idea!! I live on Cape Cod and plan on sending in four (4) sets. I am also a retired Postmaster and suggest the use of a Priority mail flat rate envelope (like Ami Simms project). The delivery time on that is 2 -3 days and the cardboard will give it substance. I would love to help out...but Houston is quite the commute! if you need geographic help I can easily bop around the New England states. Noreen Couture

Will they accept a folded envelope back? Another words if the quilter sent in their HST in a Priority Envelope, but also had one folded inside already paid for the return.
