I love the TwistedSifter Posts and subscribe to it.
This came today. I'm curious to know what our British Isles friends think of this!

 Brilliant, how can one person do all those accents just like that one in one long sentance

Really well done! I was hoping he would do an Isle of Man accent as I haven't a clue what they sound like, never been there.

Isle of Man was beautiful. Was the accent different? Probably. But don't ask me, I can't keep all the areas and their accents separate!

That was interesting & impressive. Shame he didn't do the Geordie accent too, which is from Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the North East (above Yorkshire)

Wow! That was pretty cool! And, I understood everything he said! Unlike a lot of British movies that I have seen! I really have a hard time understanding their "English!"

He totally missed out the Midlands (& Derbyshire) too  As for me I am a Berkshire lass, just relocated to Yorkshire - via London, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire & Nottinghamshire. Hey-ho what it is to travel about the country (and trying to find fabric shops...)

I occasionally get a phone call from lady who lives in 'deepest' Wales. She sounds delightful, almost musical, but I have real problems understanding what she actually says. I had the chance to spend a weekend in a workshop with her, but went for one of the other options, because I'm sure I would have been mentally exhausted after trying to understand her for a few hours, let along 2 days. I guess I'm not relocating to Wales anytime soon.

By the way, even after over 30 years in England I still speak with a noticeable German accent.

I know the feeling. "Two countries separated by a common language." I often resort to "smile and nod". Heading up to Northumberland this weekend. Wish me luck...
