Here I am celebrating the beginning of one more year of life and the end of this treatment!
We're winning this battle. In the pre-surgery visit, the surgeon couldn't feel the lump or the lymph node. Will have surgery On July 8th, followed by 5 weeks of radiation. We want to make sure there's absolutely nothing left of the uninvited guest in my body.
    Stay tuned!

Of course it couldn't gone without one last "drama". A little one. Started chemo hoping to be able to skip Benadryl but...had to have it after about 20 minutes of chemo. Just the very beginning of an allergic reaction again, nothing major. Only problem is, I'll be climbing walls and hanging from the ceiling for the next couple of days. Thank God my Mom's with us and I have some great books to keep me busy overnight.

Thank you all for your birthday wishes, prayers and support. Let's have an awesome weekend!

PS. Great advice Rosemary. I'll remember it for sure!

Limbania, I have been off the computer for a couple of weeks and am now catching up. I am so sorry to hear about all of your problems. Hopefully you will recover from the chemo soon. I have been praying especially hard for both you and Libby. Keep your spirits up. Have a flat margarita if it helps. We all love you. Oh, love your pink quilt too. Aren't friends wonderful. And hugs from your babies are wonderful when you are having a down day. Don't tell the kids I called them babies. I think they stay our babies forever. God bless you and I'll keep praying.

dearest, i can understand so well what you are going through due to the fact that i had the same thing.

i realize that i need not to live in the past or the future, but only now at this moment.

it gave me a lot of strength, and i started to listen to my body, instead to plan things that i want to do/feel.

good luck with every thing!! may all the treatment will be easy for you.

we all with you girl, you can make it.

hugs and full support as much as you need dear.

Thank you all for your comments and support.

Been a while since posting. Last chemo was pretty harsh and took me a while to bounce back. Still having left over side effects like numbness, tingling and pain in my hands and feet. Still some numbness in my face, neck, chest tummy and back. Such a weird feeling. Was told it all eventually go away and my fingernails will grow back normal looking and the darkening of my skin will go away. Odd enough, I didn't quiet loose all my hair. Had to keep shaving some on the back of my head. Also kept about 10 eyelashes on each eye and about same amount of eyebrows. Seems like most people loose them all. Might've been the natural treatments and all the supplements.

Had been a whirlwind of test and appointments. Had an MRI last week and there was nothing to be found. No sign of the lump or the enlarged lymph node. The surgeon is amazed  and pleasantly surprised as am I and my family, with the results from chemo and prayers.
Today I have to get injected a contrasting medium that'll "show/mark" my lymph system by my right arm pit, in preparation for surgery. The surgery was moved from July 8 to the 9. I'm hoping there will be no cancer left to take out but we have to make sure there's nothing left at all. It'll be an outpatient surgery -lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node-, if there are no complications I'll go home in the evening. 2 weeks after surgery, Ill have five weeks of daily radiation to prevent/avoid recurrence. So far, looks like we're on the right path for healing!

Hope you all are healthy and happily stitching. Have a great week!

Oh Limbania, you have been through so much pain you are a real trooper! I am so delighted to learn that the surgeon thinks there is nothing left. Perhaps all your natural remedies helped too. I am so happy for you but sad to see your hands and nails looking like that. I am sure everything will grow back perfectly and you will be twice as beautiful.

You look so beautiful without hair anyway,
