It's lovely to have such an entertaining job!

I thought I better share this:

Science lesson today (Year 7) with Ollie (13, not a lot between his ears, but a lovely lad). Present topic: Reproduction. Todays lesson: The sperm travelling from the place where it is made to fertilisation of the egg.

So, Ollie gets it (after some careful and simplified explanation from me). Just a few questions that needed answering.

    * Does the woman like it when the man wees into her?
    * What does the egg do when it sees the sperm coming and doesn't like it?

    And my favourite:

    * Miss, when the sperm gets to the egg, but doesn't want to hit it, how does it know the way out when it tries to get back to the testicle?

    I just love my job!!

Please forgive me--when I read your posting, my mind went straight to Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, Part I: The Miracle of Birth...

But you have to admit, Lorchen, this lad possesses sufficient curiosity to craft some pretty pointed questions. I suppose he made your day!

What a day! Makes up for the low pay! At least it does for those who love teaching and love the kids.
