Stanfield, NC / Mary Jane Burdette

So, here is my question: Does anybody know this quilter? in 2010 she was very busy making quilts for charity, but there is nothing since then that an internet search brings up, except for the quilts that she contributed to the Alzheimer's Initiative. I have bought one of her quilts, and it's drop-dead gorgeous. I would love to thank her, but can't without help.

The little quilt looks like it consists of pieced kaleidoscopes. I was attracted to it, because I spent two days recently at a workshop here in the UK, piecing lots and lots of kaleidoscopes (and I'm still at it ). But when the little quilt arrived here I was amazed that it's actually beautifully painted and then quilted - a real gem.

So, anybody know how I can say 'Thank you!' to Mary Jane Burdette? She did not leave a way to contact her with the Alzheimer's Initiative, but I can be quite persistent.

Well, if you donate little quilts to the Alzheimer's Initiative, it's up to you how you fill in the form, and if you don't give contact details, then whoever buys that quilt can't get in touch, but name and location are on the label. I just don't give up easily, and this quilt is exquisite. I have no time tonight to take better pictures of it. The brackground is black, but the flash has messed up the colours, but it gives you an idea of what I'm looking here (and stroking).

Renata, thank you so much for helping! And Mary Jane's quilt travelled across the Atlantic together with your beautiful 'Memories'!
