Rosemary, between your "Sutton Scotney" and my "Rhode Island Cock" (text in the other thread) we could have a great party!

Good question! I recently insured my Bernina 830 with a rider on my home policy. The insurance was not expensive and they insured it under their computer policy, since it is a sewing computer, but it doesn't cover floods. Nothing covers floods except flood insurance I think. So Gibbs (my B830) is going on the ark with me.

Stash insurance against fire sounds a good idea for members in Colorado....just make sure it is large enough!

and the insurance value - don't under estimate it & don't tell hubby (if poss) or he might get peeved that you spend more on your stash, than you do on him

                    The sun'll come out tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow there'll be sun
                    Just thinkin' about tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow till there's none
When I'm stuck with a day that's gray and lonely
I just stick out my chin and grin and say
                    The sun'll come out tomorrow
So you got to hang on till tomorrow, came what may!
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you, tomorrow
                    You're always a day away...

Dunno about Nottingham, but up here in East Yorkshire, we had sunshine! some fluffy white clouds and a (un)reasonable wind. We managed to get across to Reighton Sands, which is about 5+ miles south of Filey beach without the expense - a lovely afternoon.... barbeque sausages, sand in the sandwiches, etc

This morning we are back to rain again

Rain on and off all weekend, and several showers today. School has cancelled tomorrow's Sports Day because the field and outside facilities are all too muddy, soggy, or wet.

We had 102*F. and high humidity. I don't know how many days of this we have had this summer but we are in desperate need of the rain you all are getting.
