Quilting Olympics! Entries for competitions here!

I blame 2dogs - it was her suggestion that there might be a Quilting Olympics. Now all we need is suggestions for the different classes of competitions. So far I have started us of with.-

    100 m running stitch
    200 m running stitch
    400 m running stitch
    4 x 100 running stitch relay....

Over to the rest of you

I nominate "Speed Quilter-Clara" team captian. Right now my messy sewing room is a definite obstacle course when it comes to getting anything done fast, not-to-mention that it is also a real downer in terms of getting the creative juices flowing. Captain how do it get it going again? Lois

Sounds like you are in the fencing category to me

'Fenced' out of your sewing room by mess.
'Foiled' by the scale of it.
an 'Epee' to get right to the point of your problem.
and need a 'Sabre' to cut through to the heart of it.

I'll take the blame. Ha! I am off to get this ole body in shape for Fabric Vaulting.
If I make it over the quilt bar and land in piles and piles of batting and FABRIC,
the winner collects the piles of fabric and batting (which has been collected the last 4 years).

oh ya, I think "Quilting Olympics" would make a good quilt pattern name?? help

I'd love to dive into my sewing room as I'm swimming in fabric.

If she does that I think we all need to chip in and purchase a uniform for her made out of that stuff those rotary cutter safety gloves are made out of. I think someone should design a uniform with our Star and letters TQS. Where are the former garment designers among us?
