Help! A huge black ant crawled into the water reservoir of my Rowenta iron and I can't get it out!!!!

I don't know that it would really cause a problem, but it would be a real topic of conversation in a quilting class!! :lol:

I would think it would boil or drown if you pour water into the reservoir. Then you could just pour it out.

Does it float?
If so could you (carefully) overfill the tank so that it floats up the filling hole and can then be fished out.Comment

Or--fill it up and then when you turn it upside down to empty it; swirl the iron so the water make a vortex and comes out quickly.Comment

I'm happy to report the ant is free! Alive and well and back outside.
My friends' husband - who does all the sewing machine repairs for the shop - took the iron apart, the ant crawled out, and the iron is back together - and watertight!
