    Raw Edged Applique Wallhanging

I just finished a raw edge applique wallhanging using free motion stitching. I was thinking of hanging it in the bathroom and wondered how that might hold up? Does anyone have any thoughts?

Lots of 'variables' there: Size of quilt, weight of quilt, fabrics used, batting used (some materials will soak up and/or hold moisture more than others), size of bathroom (will moisture diffuse easily or not), ventilation of room, how much moisture is actually created (family of 6 having steamy hot showers versus one quilter soaking in a warm bath, for example), etc........ In principal I can't see anything wrong with it. Lots of people have curtains in their bathroom, and they are ok.

I keep thinking that it would be nice to have a little wallhanging with pockets in the bathroom. It would reduce the amount of clutter on the window sill. But then again, I have never been known for being tidy......

I have quilts hanging in both of my bathrooms and they're holding up just fine!

I have 2 quilts hanging in my bathroom(on my profile is a photo of one made specifically for my bathroom) and have never had a problem. Go for it!

I had a wall hanging in my bathroom for years and had no problem with the moisture, but it faded horribly from the sunshine before I noticed it. It is ruined, and I really learned to not let the sun get to a wall quilt anymore.
