    Quilt Shops in Cancun, Mexico

DH and I are heading to Cancun the end of Febr. for a week and wondered if anyone knew if there any quilt/fabric shops in Cancun and roughly how much fabric costs down there? I am sure there are quilter/sewers there. Any help would be appreciated.

We are going to Puerta Vallarta mid March. I had planned on scoping out the shops there but if any one knows of a quilt shop there, I would certainly appreciate the info. (what a good idea to ask) Gloria

DH and I will be going to Barcelo in the Rivera Mayan its south of Cancun, two weeks in June. We stayed at the Crown Paradise in Cancun quite afew years ago. I don't know of any quilt shops there but we did go into a big store sort of like a walmarts but this is in the Rivera the fabrics were same as ours in that store, they lost DH luggage at the airport. On one of the tours we took called Coba we saw the Mayan riuns and afew prymids then we visited a village out in the jungle on the way we went through a small town village and there was a lady that had a table set out side and was sewing on an embroidery sewing machine so they must have quilt shops some where. We enjoyed our tour Coba and the Pirates ship dinner party,we enjoyed the ATV trip also. We Love "Xelha"we go every trip! It's a beautiful lagoon where you can snorkle and see big beautiful fish, float on tubes down the lazy river/ocean,jump off cliffs. Its one of the most beautiful places I've seen. We Loved Coba to,getting to visit with the children after school was agreat treat.
Enjoy your vacations,June is 4 whole months away. Good Luck finding a quilt shop.
