Amen, Margo! I couldn't have said it better! I'm amazed every time someone who is big time into quilting says they have never heard of it!

Can't imagine a day (or two) without it!

I signed up for 2 years last year at Quilt Festival so am good to go!

Lynn, I am a little confused; did we sign up for 2 years or for 2 series. If it is 2 series, then it covers through the end of series 3. So I am waiting til they post the special rates for members and will figure it out then.

I agree, Lynn. I couldn't imagine life without TQS! When I was at Quilt Fest, I had withdrawal!! ops: I got through with the daily meet and greets. I've learned so much here and have really expanded my horizons. Not just with quilting, but I've made some life long friends. This has become my guild. Thanks ARJJ and gang, you've done a wonderful job with TQS!!! Love you guys!

As we speak, Webguru Bob is busy programming our renewal offer for Series 3 subscribers. We currently are running a great deal for new, Basic, Series 1 & 2 subscribers, but I think you'll love our renewal offer for you. My guess is that the newsletter to Series 3 subscribers will be out this weekend, Nov 15, 2008. If you already renewed for next year, we will work to make sure you are included too.

I want a LIFETIME subscription offer!!

My Dad purchased a "lifetime" subscription to TIME magazine sometime in the 1940's, and then around 1975 he got a letter saying that his subscription was about to expire!! Luckily, he didn't kick off! HA! He never did find "proof" of that purchase, thus dropped his subsciption altogether...

But I'm also with Lynn, I don't know what I've bought...?? years or series? oh well, whatever, I've more than gotten my money's worth!

I think that you can tell which subscriptions you have by the stars above your picture. The number 1 star was for the first series, 2 for second series and 3 for third series. Series 3 is now airing. I'm assuming that series 4 will be the first 6 months of 2009?!? BTW, the C star is for charter member. I think that I have it right anyway!

I understood that there is no series 4. I think it will be a flat membership of 6 months or one year starting the first of January. It will be just like a quilt guild membership, if I understand right. Judy in Torrance

I would like to figure out a way to download my show onto my MP3 player that way I could take it with me to the Dr office and to therapy. This way I could actually watch a whole show at once and learn something completely. That would just be too perfect. I have paid for a lot of half shows. I can't wait until they come out on DVD.

Rachel, are you aware that series 1 and 2 are both available now on DVDs? There is a place to click on the sign in page, right under where you sign in with your screen name and password, and another place on the home page, top right side of the screen, under the purple bar.

I am trying to think of a reason to buy the new series. I only visit the Forum. I've bought the first two dvd's and they are okay but not a lot that interests me. I have only watched a few shows online but nothing from Series 3. I am really waffling on this. At this point, I think I would rather take that $42.95 to my LQS.

JoAnne, if you don't feel like you are getting your money's worth out of TQS, you may want to spend it somewhere else. Personally, I feel like the more I give (time wise) to TQS, the more I recieve, so it's a selfish thing for me to hang out here a lot! $42.95 at my LQS would get me a couple of books or a few yards of fabric that would be used up or stashed away. TQS for me is a daily dose of friendship and inspiration, and like I've said before, it's the best bang for the buck that I've ever spent.

Margo, you are so right, the value of TQS is so much more than what we would pay to a quilt quild or a LQS and where else would you get a wonderful Christmas concert (actually two) which I have played over and over all year, not just now. And the BOM for free and classes from Alex and Ricky.

And beyond that the friends I have made here and the support that I get every day from this website.

To any one out there who says they are not getting their money's worth, explore some of the other features. The Quilt Gallery, the projects, the Challenges and on and on and then make your decision. There are different strokes for different folks, but for me, I AM STAYING HERE!!!!!!

Margo, I agree with you. The TQS membership is money well spent. And like most things, the more you put into it, the more you will get out of it.
Since the beginning, I have spent a lot of time reading and watching what is happening here. The shows are wonderful, but there is so much more going on: friendships forming, teaching and learning on many level, encouragement and support being offered! It is truely amazing just to sit back and observe!
You are correct that if someone feels they aren't getting enough from being a member, they should should find what will fill their needs.
