    pattern for flannel quilt

Hi, out there, my DS wants me to make him another flannel quilt. I made him one using the Turning Twenty pattern but it turned out to be a Turning Twenty four because I had to add another row as he is so tall. Does anyone know of an easy pattern? I was thinking of the Bento Box pattern. I would use reds, blues and creams or tans. He doesn't want "girly" colors  . Any other ideas out there ? Judy in AZ

I made a Yellow Brick Road quilt a few years ago & it was pretty simple--- I'm not really familiar w/ Turning Twenty, but I think the YBR is simpler. It was just FQ's

Florence, I do have that pattern somewhere in my quilt room, probably in a project bag somewhere. Thanks for the idea. Turning Twenty uses 20 FQ in a simple arrangement but he already has one with that pattern. I was flattered that he even asked me. Judy in AZ

Judy, how about F&P's "Flannel Brick Road". It was in the Nov/Dec 2006 issue. Says it's perfect for a guy.

Thanks for that idea, too, Linda. I do subscribe to F&P and will have to look that one up to see if I like it. I also found a pattern called The Five Yard Quilt that will be under consideration. Judy in AZ
