I am definitely a machine piecer but love to hand quilt and although most of my smaller pieces are machine quilted any bed quilts I do tend to be hand quilted as I find it so therapeutic. I agree there is room for evreyone in the quilting world regardless of their preferences. Maggi

I'm a both person. I do some machine and some hand piecing. As a child, I always had something to do. In the car, I would be reading. I never leave the house without bringing something to do in case I have to wait. It will be a quilt, a book, or a puzzle magazine. And depending on how long I think I will be waiting, two or all three of those. I have a quilt top that took me 5 years to do because I mostly worked on it on long trips in the car. But I also do a lot by machine because I want to see it done, or I just don't want to do it by hand. That's what I love about quilting, you can do what you like and I can do what I like, and some days I like one kind and some days I like other kinds. That's why I have at least 5 projects going at any one time (drives DH nuts when I start something new)
