    Alzheimer’s fidget mat

My sister-in-law made a fidget apron for a friend. She included a zipper, snaps, a large button and buttonhole, shoelaces to be tied, buttons sliding on a ribbon, colorful ribbon tags, a false credit card to be put into a pocket, But the most popular item was a cheap (but sturdy) piece of a chain necklace securely stitched to the apron. She continuously played with that chain (like we play with out necklaces?) and apparently liked the jingling sound it made.

The year I joined a local MQG their project that year had been to make fidget quilts for a local Alz unit. I was intrigued by all the ideas they used! They made quilts about 18" x 24". A search on Pinterest pulls up a lot of ideas!
