Ladies, I have just shown all your wonderful thoughts and wishes with my Mom. She says, as I pause waiting for her to say something.... She's laughing now. "It is wonderful to hear all the love and support being sent to my daughter as well as to myself. With all my love! Thank you"

My Dad had a wonderful touch to the service that I have to share. He is a member of Faithful Paws that takes animals (mostly dogs) to different nursing homes, rehab centers and hospitals. He invited them to come to the service. Not only were they a great relief to the weight of the day, but proved valuable in therapy themselves for all those in pain. I myself got a personal kick out of a cat that is known to be the "Hugging Cat". A beautiful black and white longhaired that will curl up around your neck or arms as long as you like. The idea was brilliant.

This chapter is done. Now for the healing. Guess that means more quilting for me. Getting a lot done this year. At least that is a positive thing.

Talk later when I get home. Clara

What a beautifully creative and wise touch your Dad added to what must have been a very difficult service! It's good to know that you are headed back to the sewing room/design studio. Thanks for the post.

Glad to hear from you Clara. What a lovely idea that your dad brought to the service. I hope you and your mum are both going to be able to find therapy in quilting. Hugs, Rita.

Clara, so good to see your posting and know that you, your mom and dad, and the rest of the family are hanging in there. I love what your dad did, and I am sure others found solace in the unconditional love a pet can give at a time like this. A huge hug to you and your family!

It looks like 3 of my little quilts are going to Houston after all. It's silly, but I'm kind of excited. And the other 7 are already sold, which REALLY excites me! Can't wait until I have time to make some more! Have to get some things done for Christmas first.....

You have all made me curious so I checked and I have some little quilts going to Houston also. It is exciting since I will be there too and I am sure they will be the only way I can say, " had a quilt at the Houston Show" I am so new at all this quilting and a real learner!
                                So much fun
