    Santa Applique pattern

I'm looking for a Santa applique pattern that I believe is from Piece o' Cake. It has several santas with largest being in the center.
I think it also has trees? or wreaths? in it also.

    Is it this one?
    http://www.amazon.com/Slice-Christma.../dp/157120198X starting at $99..

The book is out of print..unfortunately.
My local quilt shop has done some searches for me and have come up with the book but I have had to pay more than the original list price.

Sometimes you can call the publisher...perhaps they may have idea of where to find the book.
    Good luck!!

If you don't want to pay the high price of the actual book, they are selling the patterns via download from their website:

      http://www.pieceocake.com/Patterns/1950santa.html

      It's only $16.

Check out my profile - I made that quilt! It's my Best of Show and my best work yet. It was a joy to work on, 7 Santas, 4 other blocks and borders with tons of stems and 100 berries. The book is out of print. I have loaned my copy, unfortunately. Maybe someone else has it and would be willing to sell it?

Nancy, that is beautiful. The link I posted has all small santas so this pattern must have been another one in the book that is not available yet as a download.

              Nancy...

Wow WOW WOW!!! The quilt is just stunning!!!

I have to say...even though I am Jewish...I love the Santa quilt!!
I tend to stay way from Santa stuff..but your quilt certainly turned my head.
When I do stuff for winter...I tend to use snow people...simply because A: it fits everyone and B: you can use it beyond Christmas.
              Beautiful quilt!!

Thank you all for your kind compliments. I don't understand why they aren't selling the pattern anymore. I think all the Santa blocks are cute and the flowered ones are pretty and I'd bet they'd sell plenty. Maybe it just takes a while when switching publishers or something!

Good luck finding the pattern. Nancy

Thank you for the information on downloading the Santa pattern from piece o cake designs. I downloaded it yesterday, and am now hoping to get one block done before Christmas. It is possible to see some of the methods the designers use to applique the Santa on Simply Quilts seen on the internet.

I'm astounded at what that book costs now!!! I found that I actually have it--been planning to make those adorable quilts someday. I bought a Jinny Beyer first edition "The Scraplook" at our local guild's show for $3.00--I hope it's valuable, too! Of course, I'll never reap the benefits because I never sell my books.
