    glue tip tip

It's tempting to put a pin in the tip of your basting-glue bottle, to help keep it from clogging when you're not using it. But, regular pins rust and make a mess. I've found using a brass safety pin does the trick...no rust!

Also good - the plastic tabs that attach labels to clothing, or a toothpick - wood or plastic.

I keep my glue bottle upside down when I'm not using it. A rubber tip that fits on the end of a knitting needle works great to keep the glue from drying out.
Check out my classroom PDF that shows how I retrofit my glue bottles to apply a small line of glue.

all of the above and as well i learned from sharon schamber that the plastic thread that comes with new clothing that hang the price tag,
it is thin enough, and you stick it as a pin.
it is from plastic so it doesnt rust.

It works! Very well ! but I would add ...color the tab top so you can see it when you take it out of the bottle....
They are easily lost !

Ritzy, I just sent you a personal message asking how you weathered the terrible storms in your area and as I finished it occurred to me that others who frequent the Forum would also want to know so I am also asking the question here. I don't know how near you might be to the terribly distructive storms.

Hi Lois, I just sent you a message. We were kept safe. Lots of high winds and rain but no damage. There is some damage in our town but nothing in comparison with what happened in Illinois. God is good!

Good to hear from you on two fronts. All the lounge lizards might not know US geography well enough to know you were near danger!
