Margo I love your wallhanging. You did wonderful outside of the box! I am sure your family will love it and maybe help them remember that they can thrive wherever they are.

Perfect!!! That's a lot of new techniques to use in one small quilt. I'm sure you will use some of them again and there will be more amazing quilts in your future.

I LOVE IT! You have alot more creativity in your soul than you realize, me thinks!

But I will have to say, you are the first person I know who has gone that far out of the box, done that MANY things out of the box, and by golly, documented every single one of them!

          Woo Hoo!

We know your little secret, too, Margo - when you sleep, it's only your brain sleeping --- your hands and sewing machines work when you sleep!

Wonderful, Margo!! It's lovely!! And how fun—I'm working on a quilt I'm calling "Blooming where I'm planted" but it's not far enough along to show yet. I'll be eager to see what Lorchen comes up with for your next challenge

I love it! Very impressive that you mastered so many new techniques in one relatively small project (size-wise, anyway!). And, that is one of my favorite sayings...as a career Army wife, it was my mantra for our family! I am sure the grands will treasure it! Nancy

                    Bravo, Margo!
Love it and pray that your grandchildren adapt well to their new environs!
When we moved in '99, we moved 2 hours away from the only home the boys had known. Big trauma, especially for the oldest one. Hid the "For Sale" sign from in front of the house; then put up a sign on his bedroom door that his room wasn't for sale. We had many discussions.
Much older now and a bit better at change.

                      You met the challenge!
                      Delightful.
Hope the grands won't be too far away.

Lorchen--Thanks for giving Margo the challenge.

Margo--You did good with a wonderful gift for their new home. If that doesn't bring smiles do their faces nothing will.

"Rattle" reminds me of a quilt I made for my grandson. He told me he couldn't use it for sleeping because it was too noisy. I had used sew on craft eyes for roughly 50 fish.

Margo, that little wallhanging is drop-dead-gorgeous and just right for what you want to tell your grand-kids. I'm delighted that my cheeky challenge got you to work a little outside your comfort zone. I bet your DH loves the colours you chose. Sometimes you just have to be brave and go for the 'Brights' because they'll simply shine, even on dull days. Margo, I wish I could toss you a "TQS Quilt Challenge Oscar" across the Atlantic, but I may hit an unsuspecting bird or something.
