    Monopolyfilament on my long-arm

I'm a super new to long-arm quilting. I have my second quilt on my frame and am using Superior monopolyfilment invisible thread. But there are parts of the quilt where I cannot see where I have quilted--is there some trick I can employ? Greatly appreciate the input!!

Turn off any overhead lights and place a bright light to shine from the side of your quilted area.
That will allow you to see the dimension of the areas already quilted.

Margo--you are sooo smart! I don't have a long-arm but this is good to know.

Oh, thank you!! Even though this is only my second baby quilt (STILL don't have the courage to put on a "real" top yet), I'm ADDICTED to this. I couldn't afford the long-arm, I didn't have room for the long-arm, and I have not had one moment of regret. I knew that if I was never going to consider myself a quilter until I could complete a quilt myself (and now share the glory with the local quilt shop where it was completed according to her skills and her ideas). Except for education, this is the best investment I've ever made. I just have SOOO much to learn--but what a journey this is starting out to be. Thanks, again!

Margo, that's a great idea. When I quilted my "Stellar Nursery", which is black with shiney things on it, I had a very difficult time seeing where I quilted. Since I'm planning on making more space quilts, I'll give this a try. Thanks!
