venturing into the world of quilt bling

Got inspired after watching show #1101 with Tom Russell and would like to try a bit of embellishing.
Anyone working with the fun glitzy stuff?

Not only that, but I just bought a bunch of sequins (already had a bunch of beads and buttons)
Great minds must think alike.

      Wow!!
Love the design you found. Your ideas will make this a stunning quilt.
The image of a tree with swirly branches has been floating around in my noggin for awhile. lol
We must be on the same wavelength!
For my embellishment quilt, I'm thinking of a mandala or something like that with a round shape.
I have so many sparkly & texture bits from years of making costumes & millinery. I did a lot of
      thrift shop sourcing!

Great design idea BJ, sounds like it can be a lot of fun to make that quilt. Keep us posted with the progress of it.

Your idea of a mandala sounds great Roseanne, keep us posted too, please.

It must be something in the air. I'm just finishing an embellished swirly tree quilt that was inspired by tiles in the toilets at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire

I used the tree from a Robert Callaham pattern. I checked back and I started in 2008, better get it finished

It is fun to do but I fancy doing a proper Tom Russell flower garden button bling quilt.

BJ, the red is stunning. Can't wait to see what you do with the "Bling". Great Job.
