Ali, check out JoJo's blog on embroidery Tutorial. She has some interesting info.
For anyone else, just to say that I ordered from Ali's site in the evening, and the goods were delivered the day after next. That was in the snow and bad weather! Brilliant service!

Can anyone suggest a good cut away and tear away stabiliser? Ideally available in UK? The tear away I have been using is a Maderia soft cotton, tears so well that is does it before the embroidery finished, well around the edges done in satin stitch!!!!!
        Thanks
        Lynn

            Great stuff Lynn!

Does your 630 not have the 'eye' in the bobbin case? I sew on long enough without bobbin thread when the machine tells me it's run out let alone without being told it has!

              Lynn,

I buy a lot of thesesupplies at Nancy's Notions. Here's the link to the metallic fabric you want:

              I also use Clotilde's: http://www.clotilde.com/

I hope this is helpful. Cheers, BJ

Yes Amanda, it doies have the eye! but the magna glide bobbins stop the 'back spin' so you dont get birds nesting and loops on the top. Thanks for the site, will check it out.
