    Monofilament: ///what types are available?

i have YLI monofilament and some other kind that I don't know what it is. What are they made of, and which kind is best? Is the Bottom Line a white cotton thread? I think I have some Bobbin Thread that is white but I don't know what kind it is. I hate it when the labels fall off or you can't read them after they go on the spool holder. Jan

Me too. I have glued some back on when I found them!

I have YLI and Superior which are both great. As is Sew Art. They all are 0.004 mm thickness (thinness).

I have Gutterman which is quite thick.....and for invisible applique, I did not like it at all! It doesn't say how thick/thin it is. It may have a different use that I'm not familiar with.

I also have Sulky 0.0004 but haven't tried it yet. It is polyester.

They rest are all Nylon I think.

I know the Superior web site has a thread info sheet you can print out that tells you LOTS and LOTS and LOTS about different types of threads.
