    Thumb Quilting

    Hi -
I have been experimenting with quilting with my thumb after I watched Alex quilt that way. So far, I really like it. My stitches are a little wobbly, but the payoff is that I don't have to keep spinning the hoop around - which is really convenient for blocks where I am quilting in circle or triangles. I completed one block much faster than just one way quilting with my finger.

Does anyone have any tips for thumb quilting, especially keeping the lines straight?

    I will practice, practice, practice.

    Becky

Looks like you answered yourself -P, P, P. How else did you get good at straight lines with your finger?

Well, definitely not perfect, but getting better with thumb quilting. I have found that I like thumb quilting the more I do it!

Looks as good as some of the old quilts I saw in the York Quilt Museum, nothing to be ashamed of there.

Looks good Becky. I think I will have to try it myself.
