    Another QAYG question

I'm making the Hugs and Kisses 2010 quilt using the "Quilt As You Go" method. I've seem samples of this on the BOM site somewhere but could not go back and find it again. I'm using the method of butting up the edges and a zig-zag stitch to temporarily hold before the covering strips are sewed on. Now my question. I've quilted the 12 monthly squares and have started with with first border. How are these quilted pieces trimmed? Do I leave a quarter inch or trim to finished size. It seems to me like they should be trimmed to finished size. Thanks.

Hi Jan, I'm not the best person to give you advice, because I haven't actually done it yet, but I have been collecting information about the QAYG process because that's what I want to do. I think I found the Forum site where it was discussed though: http://forum/hand-and-machine-quilti...ares-as-you-go -- the Forum topic is Free Motion Quilts Squares as you Go, and it's under Help Me Learn to Quilt > Hand & Machine Quilting. Several people made suggestions of web sites to check out, including me -- I listed all the sites I have found helpful. Please let us know what works for you! I plan on doing the Hugs & Kisses quilts (one for each granddaughter) by QAYG methods.
