how to get the batting to relax its creases

Should I leave it spread out for awhile? Jan

I use 80/20 cotton or wool and I put the batting in the dryer with a damp towel and let it spin for about 10 minutes then lay it out flat while it is still warm. Let it cool and then go for it. Betty Ann

Thank you Betty Ann. My quilter's dream 100% cotton relaxed in a few hours. It looks great now. LOL I'm having trouble marking some areas on the quilt. I'm trying to center them. Not so easy. I put the designs on freezer paper and ironed them on but I keep having to peel them off and realign and iron again. It's a labor of love. Jan

I don't think everyone realizes that you can iron your batting! If you're using poly, you might want to be careful how hot. It works well to get out wrinkles and you can even use steam for stubborn creases. Then, I don't fold it up too tightly before using it.
