    Houston Innovative Applique 2011

Did anyone else see the Smilebox? The quilts by our member sisters were fantastic!!! And every time I see Sharon Schamber's work, it just knocks me flat on my *** (backside).

How many more hours do we have to practice? =) More, always more. I'm glad it's so fun!

      Here's the link, Rita: http://daily-blog/102-breaking-news/...ative-applique

Keith, there is an interesting interview with Sharon Schamber in the new (Nov/Dec 2011) issue of Machine Quilting Unlimited magazine:

And, the lead off quilt in the video posted today on TQS shows a quilt by Cindy Seitz-Krug, who is from my area (Southern California). She was in the first class Diane Gaudynski taught at Asilomar, that I was lucky enough to attend. Her quilting was outstanding then and she is now even better. I loved the quilts and the closeups. Yummy!

I hope you had a pile of quilts (without pins in) to land on

Rosemary, move over...... I have a First Aid qualification, should Keith need help and assistance!

Brilliant quilts! Brilliant artists! I quite happily toddle along in their shadows and enjoy my much less spectacular work.

Their works are my dreams and inspirations (as are Keith's creations, I might add). I aspire to create something that can be seen in the same room as one of these works. Every thing I do brings me closer, but the gap is so wide at this point that I may need several lifetimes to match what these people do! I really appreciate them sharing their works with me so I have something incredible to aspire towards!! Wow!!

                    8) I've just realised, if Debbie & Clara wear their Sorting Hats to Houston, my work will be on display alongside all the fabulous & famous quilts that had to be juried in! 8)
I hope they get some pictures for us with the hats & some famous quilters & quilts
