    Printable Fusible Web

Has anyone used Wash-Away Applique Sheets or other similar product? What do you like or not like about it? It seems like a good idea to be able to print an applique design with your printer rather than do all that tracing.

This is a product from C&T that I am pretty taken with -you can leave it in the shape and then it magically disappears. It is worth a look see -

Although it's NOT a fusible, Ricky's Stable Stuff from the TQS Shoppe is wonderful for appliqué. It comes as either yardage or as 8-1/2" x 11" sheets to run through the printer, and can stay in the quilt, or be torn away. After it's laundered it just becomes loose fibers that add just a touch of dimension to the appliqué shapes, but it gets really soft and pliable.

I use Stable Stuffy with my inklingo and it works wonderfully. I am making a grandmothers flower garden and hand piecing like English paper piecing. The hexagons are attached with glue stick and the seam allowance is folded over the stuffy, tacked down, then sewn together. A perfect tv project.

I used this product for hand applique in the new Ruffled Roses BOM for the large vine motif. See my description of my experience here. I like the product for this technique.

Note: I think this product is more a fusible stabilizer than a fusible web. Judy
