Which podcast does Alex teach how to do redwork without knot

There is a technique for avoiding knots in applique (needle turn) and when embroidering as in redwork. Alex showed it on one of the shows. Anybody remember where??? Thanks, Jan

That demonstration was in Season two show number one with Judith Baker Montano. I am amazed that I remembered. Ann

Thank you so much. My friend just learned that at a quilt show, but she and I usually forget, so I thought I should watch Alex again. She told me you never want to knot because the knots will make your stitches bumpy. Thanks again, Jan

I'm so glad that I saw this thread because I had been looking for this show too. The reason why I wasn't able to find it was that I searched for "redwork", but the show description reads "red work". I surely wish that there was a better way to find past shows by topic.

Anyway, I just watched the show again and Alex ended by making a French knot on the back and then took the thread under a few of the redwork stitches before snipping. Since this was in segment one of the show, you might want to watch it again too.

I just watched it, too, to see how Alex does it. The same method is used by Suzanne Marshall that she showed us at Asilomar. Judy in AZ
