    I watched a video about dyeing with Sharpie makers today, Lorchen, and wondered if you heat set it and then wash it, or the other way around. If you washed it first would the colors stay since the markers are supposed to be permanent (I think)? It sure is an interesting dye concept. May have to try it.

      I followed the link about the sharpies and alcohol, there were a few more you tube videos too! That is soo coooll!!
      I did notice that one of the sites mentioned something about not washing them with detergent. I guess soda ash wouldn't do anything, since these are not procion dyes. (sigh) more fun things to try!!!

        One of the youtube tutorials said that once the alcohol had dried you should put it in the dryer at a high heat to set the colour. I have not tried this myself yet.
