    Size of Dark Turquoise Frabric

    Margo,

My dark turquoise fabric measures 38x92. I am to cut 2 10" pieces 81 inches and 2 10" pieces 65 inches. I know I can cut the 81-inch pieces and one 65" piece, but I have enough the second 65" inch piece plus enough for the small triangles for the circles? Where can I obtain more fabric?

    Thanks,

    Carol

I found a Kona turquoise fabric that is also from P&B that will work.

Carol, I'm not sure, but because the other appliqué foundations have been cut oversize, then trimmed down, we can probably assume that the 10" borders will be trimmed down too. I am out of town right and haven't measured my turquoise fabric yet, but if it's only 38" wide I will probably just trim off the selvage edges and cut the remaining fabric into 4 equal widths.

        Margo,

I won't say I received a piece of fabric that wide. It may have been wider when received. It is just what I have right now. Your solution is a good one.

Carol, I am home now and have measured my dark turquoise fabric. It measures 42" so is plenty wide for the required borders.
          I don't understand why yours is only 38". :?

            Margo,

My guess is operator error. I am just glad I located an acceptable replacement.
