    Pressing of seams

I just got my kit, excited to start....but in reading over the instructions, am wondering about something. I was going to paper piece as it seems easier, but after reading the Debra Wagner method, wonder if Sue did it this way due to the seams being pressed open? with paper piecing the seams will be pressed to one side. I am wondering if this will make a difference to the quilting and piecing down the road. It is interesting that with previous year's BOM the designer was on hand to answer these types of questions. That is another one I have, why is Sue Nickels not available for these types of inquiries. I'm going to wait for someone to pitch in with an answer before I proceed. Help!!

Jeannine, if you want to use paper piecing, and your seams pressed open, please try the freezer paper method:

My seams were pressed to one side, and I didn't have a problem with that, but pressing them open would certainly distribute the bulk better, especially on the smaller triangles for month 2.

Thanks Margo, I didn't look at that method closely, will watch your video again. BTW, thanks for all your great instructions and help with this. I do think Paper Piecing will be more accurate, but like the idea of pressing the seams open. Will let you know how I make out, fabric is in the dryer right now.
