Happy Birthday to the birthday girls from Rita in Ireland at 0.22am on the 21st December - the shortest day of the year, the Winter Solstice and now the beginning of a Brave New World. Hurray! Happy quilting everybody.

07:15 am here in central Switzerland...
Been up for over an hour and very happy to report that from this end, the world, and the world as we know it, is still in full functioning order!

Have a happy day. And a good wait to the end of the year, or the end of the world, because my calendar definitely ends on December 31 st 2012!
... Maybe I should get a new one?
Why didn't the Mayan's think of that one?

Terrie, the number of hours I sleep greatly depends on the state of my thyroid... After a year's worth of medication I now sleep almost six hours most nights - really cuts into that quilting time!!! But maybe it keeps me semi-sane... Well so does quilting ... Now which would you choose?

        :P   :P

......so is that more or less than before the medications? Over-active or under-active? Just curious. As for me - I need lots of sleep, but wish I didn't. THAT cuts into my quilting time!

Over-active thyroid... so working way too. Much... Before starting this last course of meds I slept about an average of four hours a night, a couple of hours at a time... Often less and by the time I was totally gaga ( every week and a half or so), I'd sleep all of six hours...
Now it's much better, but I do notice not having so much extra time to do stuff!

By he way, it's now one sixteen am, and we're still here, so I presume we safely survived the end of the world...
See you all tomorrow & and welcome to he new age
