I have to change thread type

    Margo

I'm into my September blocks and have run out of the thread type I was using. I remember when we first started this BOM, Susan suggested using the same thread top and bottom. Is this going to cause me grief?

I have now put on Masterpiece on the top and Bottom Line in the bobbin.

This is the combination I use all the time. I like Bottem line as the thinness allows a good flat seam. True, it is not as strong. But this is not a baby or kid quilt that would be washed a jillion times.

Longarm quilters use Bottom Line in the bobbin all the time. You'll be fine.

I bought a new machine at the WI Quilt Expo, brought it home and eagerly set it up and took my old machine in for a tune up. Started sewing my August blocks (yes I'm behind) on the new machine. Advice? Changing threads is a piece of cake next to changing machines. How can you do more unsewing than sewing ops:

Pat, I don't think you will have a problem changing threads as long as both threads are a similiar weight, and MP and BL are. It's a combination that I often use in my long-arm! Have fun and enjoy the process!
