Hi, another newbie here from UK, I just found the website last mth and thought you looked great fun. The BOM is just the design I was looking for to co-ordinate with a current construction, Dog rose quilt 1012850. I look forward to starting the feathered star after we buy our printer next month, 'til then I will get cutting and try out febs border; if I don't lose too many more hours on this site! TTFN Rosemary.

Welcome, Rosemary. This site is addictive so don't be surprised at how many hours you "lose here." But it's worth it - so many wonderful people that are now good friends!

HI, Krista, Judy & Rosemary--glad you're joining us! Judy, you could probably get a "gray scale" of the entire quilt by copying the color page in black and white. I'm going to do that myself--I work better in gray scale. I'm finding the colored fabric swatches in the pattern are distracting for me and I'll probably cover them up with my own fabric swatches. If you need a B/W copy of the BOM to play with colors, send me an e-mail (through my profile page) and I will send you an attachement to print one out. It's not exactly Sue's pattern, but certainly close enough to play with colors.

Okay, I'm a little slow here, I haven't been on the site for awhile, and just now found the BOM for this year. I usually don't do BOMs, but this one looks intriguing. I have been quilting for awhile, but have never made any stars. After looking at the blocks in the Show and Tell, and looking at the picture of this years quilt, I have decided that I'm going to challenge myself, and learn something new. I don't know if I will have time to do the entire quilt, but I have a lot of scrap fabrics that I want to start using, so decided that I will make "practice" blocks and try my hand at these stars. Figured this will get some of my scrap fabric out of my sewing room, and give me a chance to try something new. And I can always use the blocks for pillows or tote bags or something else, instead of doing the entire quilt.

Diane, welcome to the BOM! I think this would make a great wall hanging with just what we have done through March! The important thing, is to have FUN!

Bean53, if you will click on "Show & Tell" on the top purple bar you can see several categories of show & tell photos. At the top of that page (in red letters) you can choose to view all show & tell photos or BOM ONLY.

Fix a cuppa your favorite beverage and have fun!

Thank You. I found it. Next question - how do I post a picture of my own?

On each of the Show & Tell categories beneath the VIEW ENTRIES button is one that says SUBMIT ENTRY. Click on that, fill in the title and text portion and click SUBMIT. Then you will be able to browse and upload your photo. After you have uploaded, you click on SUBMIT again and it will show up on the S&T page.
