Yes, I have no life! I have my March block done! I too was anxiously waiting for the pattern to get uploaded so that I could download it. I chose yellow for the roses as yellow roses are the symbol of the support group that I helped found for parents who have lost a child.

I'm thinking the tulips will be for April.

    Maggie, looking forward to spring!

Wow Maggie! You're fast! It's gorgeous! (And I don't think spring is coming to our neck of the woods this year!)

Thanks, everyone! I didn't have anything on the agenda today, so I had just decided I would do the block  . Raw edge machine applique is much quicker than doing it by hand. And Sue is right, there is a lot of edge to sew !

If anyone is interested, I've posted some new photos on my Webshots web page. I've gotten my basket ready to hand applique, and I've already put the star on it! Still not sure about the over/under details with the stems and leaves, but I'll think about that tomorrow!

                              Maggie,
I can't believe you got it finished in one day, although I do agree that raw edge applique is much more efficient than hand. I thought I was doing well to get the block downloaded; then a quick trip to the quilt shop for more background fabric (I started this project knowing I didn't have enough but figured I would solve that problem later); then I got the design traced onto my background. Today I will select my fabrics and start getting them cutout, even though there are more important things around the house that need to get done. However, there are definitely some days where NOTHING is more important than quilting and I think today might just be one of them.
