Oh, you are not alone! I now have the blocks done to the circular ring. I have not put them together as yet, because until I laid them all out to make sure this is what I wanted, where I wanted it, I wasn't going to sew it together. I have a bit of changing, maybe by the weekend I will have the parts I want. The more I work on it, the more I am in love with it.

I am also just getting started on this BOM. I actually started month 1 three different times last year and I wasn't happy with my color choices. Finally, in Jan 2013 I have month 1 and now month 2 completed. It is a challenging quilt, but I'm embracing it totally!

Well, I just posted my first pieces that I have done. I cannot believe how much I am enjoying the foundation piecing. I am using Ricky Tim's Stable Stuff. I am excited by how nicely it goes together once you get the piecing done. Is anyone else doing this without the Accuquilt Go? I had no trouble tracing the circles for this month's pattern, but I am not looking forward to the more complex applique blocks coming up. I just haven't decided to buy or not to buy.

Kathi, I debated about buying the AccuQuilt templates and cut everything out by hand, very tedious, and not very accurate. I happened to go to Quilt in a Day site (Eleanor Burns) to browse and on her Shopping site she had a Go! Baby! for approx $70-$75 (retail is going for $129) and they also had the 2 dies of Heather Feather on sale also, I don't remember the cost. Plus Sarah has the full embroidery for the dies on her site for the Sedona Star. I purchased the full embroidery and am extremely pleased with the design. I don't know if Sarah is still offering it or not but she had indicated that anyone that bought all of the embroidery designs would get a "special gift" from her. I received mine a couple of weeks ago and it is two more quilt designs. If you are a machine embroiderer I would suggest the investment. They can be used and manipulated for other projects, etc.

Yes I am just about to start but see I am missing part of the instructiosn Too. I bought the button and blooms kit and would like to do the sedona one as well. Does anyone know the yardage that needs to be bought for this.
              Thanks Doreen

Nancy- thanks for the information. I was thinking that the Baby version wouldn't fit the Heather Feather. I am going to check it out.

I did purchase the accu quilt go and the heather feather dies. It will greatly speed up the appliqué process. I just posted what I have completed with months 1&2. I think doing the appliqué without the dies will be very time consuming and since I own a business, time is of most importance to me.

Yes, the Heather Feather will fit the Baby. Any die that is 6" wide can be used with Baby.

I started it last year but only got to month 4. My goal is to get back to it and complete it this year along with the newest BOM.

So I will be coming to see posts.

One questions I have for anyone out there that completed Sedona Star....I looked on Sarahs website and she has the Sedona Surprise design collection for sale. I downloaded all the material for Sedona Star and wonder if I need to buy the design collection to completed this quilt.

                      Thanks,

                      Lenore

I finally found the time to put all the pieces together and it looks Maavalus Dahling. And it is flat! I had the foundation printed and in strips for the circular border, do you think I can put my hands on it now? I will print off another copy, just so I can find the original one. Isn't that the way it works? I will post a picture of this, however it looks like the last one I posted but this is one piece. I love this quilt.

I started way back in January 2012, but am still strolling along. My path meandered a bit here and there with other projects taking precendence, but I will keep checking in here as I go along. Progress is still progress, just at my own pace. It will be nice to have others to share the journey.

I am happy with my progress also! I wanted to do this quilt all last year, but other things got in the way. This is my year to get it done. I'm on month 3 and so far everything is going well. Hang in there gals! We're going to make it yet!!!

                              Hi there

I am about to start the Sedona Star - have printed out all the templates for Jan on Ricky Timms paper and I have all the fabrics yet to cut.

I am not brave enough to do my own colour scheme. I loved seeing all the other quilts - beautiful!!!

                              Cheers
                              Anna (OZ)

                                Anna,
I, too, was not quite confident enough to choose an original color scheme. The upside was that Buttons and Blooms are colors that work in my home. I only started mid-January and have done Month 1 so far. It is a great BOM in that it is more than just a simple block. I love how it will grow from the center out as we go. Good luck on getting started and enjoy.
