SOS stands for Software Optimum Solutions. It provides support using your embroidery software plus has many perks...newsletters, projects, SOS Live, etc. You need to purchase it through your sewing machine dealer. Check out http://softwaresupport.us.vsmgroup.com. I did call them yesterday and the person I spoke with agreed with Sarah about not being able to use a split hoop with applique. So, we'll need to use the Deluxe Hoop; it looks like 3 hoopings. I'm going away for 2 weeks, so can't try it until I get back. Good luck! Let me know how it works for you.
