It's gorgeous Carol! Use some of your scraps to test the Fray Check. I've never tried it on silk, but have never noticed discoloring on cotton.

I've used Fraycheck and wouldn't hesitate to use it, I really like it for using on sharp inside corners. My general experience is that it does not discolour fabric once it is dry. However you would be best to double check on a scrap of your fabric for your own peace of mind.

Wow Carol, just love what you are doing. Your colors are yummy and I can't wait to see the progression of your quilt. After reading all the blogs, forum, seeing the show n tell, I have decided to join the fun. As in the past, it will take a while as I am still auditioning fabrics/colors. Maggie's show n tell convinced me that I could to black background. You folks are my inspiration, so THANKS! Pat

Here is how Month 1 turned out. It is funny, I just finished watching Michelle Jackson's episode on The Value of ... Value. Talk about perfect timing. I would say this quilt is going to be high contract with using the opposite ends of the color wheel. I am thinking about calling my version "A Natural Attraction". It is amazing how these two very opposite colors complement each other. I did not realize this when I picked out my colors for the quilt. I was just selecting colors I liked and did not pay any attention to the color wheel, value, etc. Episode 1002 was perfect timing!!!!

I just had to share what I've decided to do with my Sedona Star. I am still playing with it, and have gone as far as I can until I buy 8 yards (I think) of black for all of my background. So far, this is all from my stash, and all hand dyes that I have purchased over the years. I do not have the yellows that I need, so the yellow star point is a stand-in, and my ring is not sewn closed, because that may not be the right yellow. Also, the last border of each star point will be black, and therefore the star points are incomplete, too. Lots of fun, so far!

Carol, your silks are awesome! I'm looking forward to watching your quilt grow.
