Okay, the first thing I'm going to do when I get to Houston is run really fast to the TQS booth so I can see the BOM. I think I might really like Elly's fabrics. And Margo, will you have yours along so we can see?

I just got the fabric 10 days ago, so I am frantically trying to get as much of it assembled as I can before we leave for Houston next week. The more I do, the more I LOVE this quilt!! It's gonna be a knock-out. Great design and great fabric! WHOO-HOO!!

Hi Margo, sorry to keep up the pressure but how soon will you be able to post a picture of 2011 in Beloved Beauties fabric for those unfortunate souls that cannot get to Houston. Thank you for your constant replies and contributions to the forum. Regards, Pamela from 'downunder'.

Hi Pamelasb! I know everyone is anxious to see both the new BOM design and the two colorways that will be offered in kits next year, but I can't show any photos until after the Houston show. I'm sure that the staff will put some pictures on the Daily Blog....probably November 4th when the Festival opens.

I've assembled through Month 4 in the BELOVED fabrics to be shown in Houston, but I've got to tell you that pictures just don't do this fabric justice! It's gorgeous!!

I was on the phone with Alex when she saw my photo of the quilt on John's computer. She LOVES it too!!

Wish you could ALL join us next week...........

No, Happy. This year there is ONE quilt design, but fabric kits will be offered in two completely different colorways. One is all pastels and one is the new BELOVED BEAUTIES fabrics. They are both dy-na-mite quilts!!

OK, I think I'm legal in posting now. Here is the center part of my version of the TQS BOM done in the BELOVED BEAUTIES fabric designed by Elly Sienkiewicz. This is the first four months worth of directions.
There will be pictures of Sue's original version soon, I promise!!

Wow. The quilt is beautiful Margo. I may have to try and tackle this one.

It looks like a finished quilt top already and that's only the first four months? I want to make this one too, but I must admit that it looks very challenging.

The most challenging part of the new BOM is making the commitment to "just do it!" Yes, it will take some time. Again, this is not a quilt to make in a day, but it is definitely a do-able project. The appliqué can be done with your favorite method (or try a different technique?) and the piecing is small pieces and some paper piecing on the sampler blocks. That's it! Sue's directions are for needle-turn appliqué, and I'll be adding a separate tute whenever I do anything different, but we both would like to see you make it yourway!

One really cool thing about this year's project is that like Nancy commented about the first 4 months, it looks like that's the complete quilt. Or you could just add the next row of pieced blocks and appliquéd corners. Or you can add the last pieced border and change the corners there, like I did on my first sampler version. Make it yours! There are several places to stop and call it done! Not just another UFO, but a finished project! Cool, huh!

Because of the designs in this line of fabrics, I've had to change the directions for which fabrics to use where, but I'll have directions explaining all the changes I've done. Of course, you can change that too! Make it your way....one step at a time!
