To starch or not to starch?!! -
PatEW, I both pre-wash and starch my fabrics before cutting. Margo wrote a great post on why you should starch and how she does it, but I can't remember which
topic area it was in. It helps stabilize the fabric so it cuts more precisely, and allow it to be more like paper so it does not stretch as much while stitching and makes for
more accurate piecing. HelenW -
