I wonder who came up with the idea to swirl seam allowances so they would lay flatter? I did my first one yesterday and it took forever, the second one didn't go much better but then today I got it. Just finished pressing about 20 9-patch blocks and they do lay much flatter. Will be much easier to quilt. Another new technique for me thanks to The Quilt Show. -
Sandy, I did a short video, less than a minute, on how to swirl the seams easily--this was used on the 2018 Block of the Month--Patchwork Barn:

Most people struggle at first to get the hang of it. When you realize the seams will only swirl if you are pushing them in the correct direction--this will be different depending on which way the top seam allowance is pressed--to the left or to the right.
