Templates for Double 9 Patch and Shoo Fly Blocks

Oh WOW! I let TCR Engraving know this morning they "may" get orders for the wonderful templates my friend had made.

They have and they are now on their website for direct ordering:

Here is what Terri Heskett said:

Thank you so much for the post on your blog. We have already been contacted by several people. We have listed the set on our store if you would like to put it on your blog the link is below (set ships free in the US). Thank you again, we are a small family owned and operated business in North Carolina so the boost in sales is very much appreciated.

I am using the Double 9 patch one and it works great to be sure they are perfect.

This company can make any templates you want so if you would like something else, let them know.

My set arrived yesterday.. Thanks for posting the info - I'd never have thought to search online for such odd sizes.

I particularly like the 7.25" ruler - it makes trimming the applique blocks a real breeze. I'm going to use it to check my layout before appliqueing too - with horizontal, vertical, and diagonal markings, it makes it easy to check placement. The 2.75" rulers have nice markings that help true up the 9-patch blocks - but you have to be extra careful when cutting. Because of the size, your fingers are closer to the blade than I like.

I ordered the templates and they arrived. I am at present arranging the border appliques on my Hugs and Kisses so will be able to get back to Afternoon Delight tomorrow. Learning more every day. Who says you can't teach an old gal some new tricks. :woohoo: Hope to get 2020 done as I approach 80. Last year quit teaching Art Quilting classes so now working just on my own projects. Have so many TQS BOMs lined up.

I just got my set of templates in the mail. I stil had a couple of shoo fly blocks to make and WOW it was so much easier to trim with these. I am ready to start on the double 9 patches now. The company was quick in getting my order to me here in Canada even though mail is slowed.

Excellent, djane. They are helpful with these small blocks. The company can make most any shape a person wants and are quick to respond.
