    Sue Garman Instructional Videos

We are so lucky to still have the Instructional Videos Sue Garman did for the 2009 BOM available to us. Here is the link:

    https://thequiltshow.com/component/allvideoshare/video/bom-2009-sue-garman-sue-garman-tips-for-bom-2009

To see each one, click on the Playlist in the upper left of the screen, all 12 videos are listed there. The one that pertains to Floaters, what we are starting to do in Month 2, is number 6.

I recommend anyone doing the 2017 BOM watch all 12 of these videos. Seeing Sue is wonderful, learning what she has to teach is the best.

To find them without the link, go to:

    BOM
    ALL BOM
Scroll all the way down to 2009
    Click on Instructional Videos.

And, because someone will ask, yes, you can buy Sue's pattern, Stars for a New Day, at her website: www.comequilt.com

I just watched them all and was amazed at all the great tips Sue gave. If I had known how to correct my foundation piecing error, I wouldn't have been trying to remove those tiny stitches! I wish she were still with us so she could see our progress.

Wow!! Thank you Barbara for finding that!! I have been watching Margo Clabo's videos from the the 2013 BOM, she also has some great tips.

I will absolutely be watching Miss Sue's videos! As a general rule, paper piecing is not something I enjoy, & I am making this quilt in honor of her, so to be able to watch her & get her tips and advice would be a wonderful learning experience.....maybe I will even end up liking paper piecing.

Barbara..I am working on Rambling Rose quilt from 2011, however, I am saving the instructions for the BOM 2017. My question is..how can I save the instructional and tips video to USB stick for later use? Pat

Pat, I don't think that you can, though I might be wrong. Did you try saving them? My guess is they are on the tqs server and if they get taken down someday, they'll be gone. I'm going to watch them all again this afternoon.

Thanks for the heads up on the videos it makes it so much easier for me to understand the instructions after I have watched someone else actually doing it, quicker too.
I am currently watching all before I start on month 2.
Thanks again Barbara for all the help you are giving us.

Yes you can access them from YouTube. I had already saved them in my favourites directly from YouTube because the advice is so helpful I am only a recent member and regret not being able to take part in Sue's earlier BOMs.

Do you have a link for the videos on YouTube?
I can't seem to find them and I would like to keep them as a resource tool.

On my laptop there is a little star next to the home (house) symbol in the top right hand corner of my screen - that is where I store my favourites - Youtube links, blogs shops, tools, tutorials, recipes -all sorts. You can't store favourites direct from The Quilt Show. I guess because it is a subscription Channel but you can save any of their videos that are on YouTube. You could Google "Favourites" and get information or ask someone to show you.
