For the center star there are several areas where fabric D when sewn is a parallelogram. I had difficulty in determining how to attach the rectangular piece that I had pre-cut. I decided to cut 45 degree angles on the ends of the rectangle and my problem was solved. -
I did the same with the both the diamond and kite shapes--it helped a lot. I included that info in a blog I did on the first month's instructions. Glad you found a way that worked for you.
